Meredith Larson
Meredith Larson is Associate Director of Advocacy with GHAI, focused on public health and road safety. Meredith has spent her career in the public health, humanitarian, and human rights arenas, primarily focused on strategy, policy advocacy, and partnership-building. Committed to supporting community-driven solutions, Meredith has worked at local, national, and global levels with others to advance policy change. An experienced leader of teams, she works to support others’ leadership, team strategy design, and the development of tools that can foster policy change, including strategic communications, engagement and mobilization, and legal efforts. In her collaborations, she has led teams in executing policy advocacy campaigns, including for Amnesty International and Oxfam; has realized public health collaborations with and for migrant farmworkers, homeless youth, and Indigenous advocates; and led advocacy initiatives and supported grantmaking in her earlier roles with the philanthropy Humanity United and the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee. Meredith has worked with colleagues across global regions, and in her GHAI role, collaborates with colleagues and partners in China and Vietnam who are working for road safety. Based in the DC area, she holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor’s in History from Dartmouth College.
