Doan Thi Thu Huyen is the Vietnam Country Director for the child drowning prevention program. She coordinates with policymakers, government ministries and civil society organizations to support the planning, launch and implementation of community-based interventions programs around survival swimming and day care. These evidence-based interventions help to prevent child drowning and form the foundation for program sustainability and policy development. Huyen has more than 14 years of experience in public health programs. Prior to joining the Global Health Advocacy Incubator, she served as a program manager and researcher at the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, focusing on tobacco control, road safety and avian influenza control.
