Why We Advocate for Sustainability
At the Global Health Advocacy Incubator, we recognize that lifesaving programs and policies are critical—but not enough. Locally-led advocacy that plans for sustainability of financing and public support at the outset is key to ensuring that programs continue after international funding ends.
The most important part of advocacy is the advocates. Local organizations — when equipped with the right resources and expertise to reach policymakers — are in the best position to drive a public health agenda that ensures healthier futures for their communities.
