Intellectual Disability Inclusion in National Health Systems
GHAI serves as Special Olympics International’s global strategic advocacy partner to help global and country-level teams assess the level of intellectual disability-inclusion of national health systems and develop advocacy plans for improving health access and outcomes.
One Health
GHAI partnered with Wildlife Conservation Society to strengthen advocacy capacity for the prevention of wild animal-to-human transmission of zoonotic diseases in Asia.
Preventing Gender-Based Violence
GHAI partnered with Every Woman Treaty and Women for Human Rights Nepal on a project funded by the Rotary Foundation to support women’s rights leaders in Nepal to build a nationwide coalition that is raising awareness about, and advancing policies and other measures, to prevent violence against women.
Addressing Non-Communicable Diseases
GHAI partnered with the World Health Organization to provide non-communicable diseases-focused advocacy training to 70 national and regional health managers in Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Health.
Supporting Advocacy Capacity with New Training Tools
GHAI is partnering with Helen Keller Intl to support the internal capacity strengthening of staff globally and across their country offices by developing an advocacy training toolkit and virtual training course. Helen Keller Intl works with children and families in 20 countries to deliver the essential building blocks of good health, sound nutrition and clear vision.
