The Global Health Advocacy Incubator (GHAI) provides governments and civil society organizations with technical, legal and capacity-strengthening support to monitor and counter vested interests that seek to maximize their profits at the expense of the public good.

We counteract industry misconduct through strategic and technical support, global monitoring and analysis and multifaceted advocacy campaigns. Our efforts on behalf of and alongside our partners help expose opposition and defend public health policies against attacks.

Our expertise is built on the successes and lessons learned in the global fight against tobacco use and the tobacco industry, whose tactics have been adopted by other health-harming industries.

Assess

We conduct risk analyses, and map and expose industry front groups, identifying any possible obstacles before they arise.

Strategy Development

After identifying the opposition, we create a comprehensive strategy that includes proactive and crisis communications plans.

Execution

We help partners communicate policy narratives that either pre-empt or directly respond to opposition talking points or adverse advocacy actions.
