Bobi Odiko is the Africa Communications Consultant, overseeing communications in the Food and Nutrition Program in the East African Community (EAC) countries (Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania) and Cardiovascular Health work in Ethiopia. In this role, he supports strategic communication, media advocacy strategies and digital advocacy work for GHAI’s Civil Society Organization partners in the countries.
Bobi is an experienced corporate communications specialist with over twenty years of service in the industry. He has supported Strategic Communications, Government Relations and Media Advisory services across diverse sectors - strengthening the regional integration agenda. He has delivered capacity building programs and technical support in media/ communications, having variously supported health and development, peace and security, youth, and civil society initiatives. Bobi previously worked as Head of Communications at the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) and related regional institutions for over fifteen years. He has consulted widely for several international organizations and was a regular columnist for a regional newspaper.
Bobi who holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, is presently pursuing his doctorate studies.
