Doan Thi Thu Huyen is the Country Director for programs in Vietnam, including child drowning prevention, tobacco control and cardiovascular health. She provides strategic vision and leadership to achieve the legislative and program objectives in Vietnam. She closely coordinates with policymakers, government ministries and civil society organizations, research institutions in joint advocacy and policy development. Huyen has more than 16 years of experience in public health programs. Prior to joining the Global Health Advocacy Incubator, she served as a program manager and researcher at the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, focusing on tobacco control, road safety and avian influenza control.
