Gema Granados Hidalgo is the Colombia media advocacy coordinator for the vehicle standards program. She is a communications professional with experience creating communications and advocacy strategies for development, human rights, gender equality and public health. Before joining the Global Health Advocacy Incubator, Gema worked for the United Nations Population Fund in Colombia, the National Cancer Institute and the Health Secretariat in Bogotá. In her experience, she has been able to work with governmental institutions, civil society organizations, international donors, the media and key populations in creating long-lasting, successful and innovative communication strategies to address health and human rights even in humanitarian contexts.
