Gianella Severini

Gianella Severini is a Legal Coordinator, working together with the GHAI Legal Director on legal policy and litigation work. In this role, she collaborates with and supports partner organizations across the different programs within GHAI. Gianella is a member of the International Legal Consortium, the global legal unit at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and has vast expertise in tobacco control. Gianella completed her law degree at the National University of Córdoba in Argentina and her Global Health Law master's degree at Georgetown University, and Global Democracy at Geneva University. She is also a communicator. She has experience working in human rights and non-communicable disease regulations in Latin America, where she has provided strategic guidance on policy development, drafting laws and regulation, advising litigation strategies, and supporting legal capacity-building efforts. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
