Jamil Gunawan is the in-country coordinator for the Data for Health program in Indonesia. Previously, he has worked the specific fields of research, knowledge management and policy advocacy and has experience working at both the national and sub-national levels especially in the Indonesian provinces of Aceh, West Papua, Central Kalimantan and East Kalimantan. He has also worked on development programs with the Government of Indonesia, UN Institutions and has worked for global and national non-government organizations in the areas of child-rights, human rights, decentralization and governance, domestic resource mobilization, climate change mitigation and adaptation, poverty alleviation and community-based health programs. He has a degree on communication studies and a master’s degree of political science from the Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
