Mario Munoz serves as the coordinator for Ecuador on the Road Safety team. He has 15 years of experience working in the promotion of sustainable and safe mobility in Ecuador. He has held management positions in civil society organizations, as well as in national government entities. The main achievements of his career have been as an advocate for the inclusion of bike lanes and cycle track signs in street signage regulations and as leading the development of Ecuador's National Urban Mobility Policy (NUMP), published in 2023 by the Ministry of Transportation. He believes that working for road safety ensures equitable access to opportunity for all.
