Martha is currently an Advocacy Advisor for the Global Health Advocacy Incubator. She graduated as an economist from the National University of Colombia and has a specialization in Planning and Administration of Regional Development from Andes University. She has experience working in public policy, economic analysis, research for sugary drink tax designs and industry interference. She has worked in the national public sector, in entities such as the National Department of Statistics, National Planning Department, the District Institute for the Protection of Children, among others. Martha has also worked in CSOs defending human rights.
