Qian Geng, the Director of the China Program at the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids (CTFK), provides leadership and technical assistance to the Global Health Advocacy Incubator’s Cardiovascular Health program in China. She provides strategic direction and oversees all aspects of CTFK's programs and operations in China, and leads the in-country team to develop and implement strategies to advance tobacco control, cardiovascular health, as well as other evidence based public health best practices. Formerly, Qian was a Senior Regional Director for China and Japan at Project HOPE. Prior to that, Qian was as a Program Director at PATH. Qian has worked in the global health field for three decades with a mix of services in both governmental and non-governmental organizations. Her international program experience includes the areas of women and children’s health, infectious disease prevention, non-communicable disease prevention & management, emergency responses, and health system strengthening in many countries. Qian also served as a technical advisor for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on developing a regional HIV/AIDS and Development Strategy for China, Mongolia, South Korea, and North Korea; for UNFPA and Ford Foundation's international reproductive health programs; and for WHO/WPRO regional adolescent health strategy development.
