Industry Watch Reports

GHAI supports civil society’s efforts to protect healthy food policies from being undermined or blocked by vested commercial interests. Our industry alerts, annual reports and in-depth evaluations stem from ongoing monitoring and analysis of common strategies employed by the food and beverage industry across the globe.  

Since 2020, GHAI has produced reports that highlight the food and beverage industry’s global playbook of strategies used to thwart governments from advancing healthy food policies and block advocacy efforts from social movements. These reports include in-depth breakdowns of the different strategies coupled with country examples. In each report, GHAI also provides key recommendations to civil society and government on how to anticipate and counter corporate tactics to obstruct healthy food policies.
