Maternal and Reproductive Health

The Global Health Advocacy Incubator (GHAI) helped to prevent maternal mortality and expand reproductive health access in Tanzania through a targeted advocacy campaign. Our locally led team worked side-by-side with doctors, nurses and other local partners to advocate for funding for a vital maternal health program after the departure of international donors. As a result of this campaign, the national and regional governments committed to additional human resources and sustained funding and support.
This work was supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies.
