India Hypertension Campaign Materials
India’s non communicable disease (NCD) burden has been on a steep rise with more than 65% deaths due to these deadly diseases. Hypertension is one of biggest risk factors with 1 in 4 Indians diagnosed as hypertensive. Low awareness is a major challenge in our efforts to battle the silent epidemic of hypertension. For a health condition that is simple to treat and affordable, it is known to have the lowest rates of treatment adherence – only 6-7% of Indians who have been diagnosed, take their medication regularly or avail of treatment.
The Global Health Advocacy Incubator has developed a set of advocacy and campaign materials to fill this gap. A series of posters for the community, a case study based on our work in Punjab and patient testimonials are available on this page.
